Give Thanks concert performers are announced
Hastings talent – individuals and groups – will perform the annual Give Thanks concert at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 11, at St., Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St. In addition to showcasing the musical talents, the concert will also help Hastings Family Service, which is always there to help others.

Free-will donations of cash and nonperishable food items will be accepted for Hastings Family Service. Refreshments will be served following the concert.
The performers are Casey Likes, Darlene Olson, Cathy Renken, Terry Crisp, Kristine Pearson, Pam Loiacano, Clarence Chapman, Megan Pleviak, Nancy Gesner, Makenzie Thompson, Michelle Sieben, Alayne Svee, Judy Kitzman and Pete Likes, who also facilitated the concert. Also scheduled to perform is Unity from St. Philip’s Lutheran Church – Noreen Swanson, Glenda Schnirring, Gary Evenson, Dan Retka, Frank Sofio, Vonnie Olson and Al Todnem. This group has been singing together for about 40 years.
The hand bell ringers from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church under the direction of Ramona McCullough – Sue Pellant, Marge Staiger, Lisa Haviland, Nan Bishop, Darla Wilson, Rose Peine, Megan Pleviak, Kay Caturia, and Debbie Wadzinski – makes its first Give Thanks appearance this year. The church’s Chapel Choir will lead the congregation in singing.
Accompanists are Svee, Pleviak, Chris Falteisek, Swanson, Gary McAlpin and Brian Schommer.
The concert date of Nov. 11 has not gone unnoticed. There will be several patriotic songs as part of the concert. The variety of music includes traditional, contemporary, patriotic and country.
“This concert is being given by area musicians who wish to share their time and talent with their hometown people, hoping to receive donations to benefit Hastings Family Service,” said Likes. “It is not about me; it is about their music. It is a coming together to benefit a need of the community.”
Hastings family Service Executive Director Chris Koop is very grateful to this concert and its participants and others who hold similar activities to help Hastings Family Service do what it does for others in the community.
