Police report preview - Oct. 27 to Nov. 2

• An assault was reported at a bar in the 2100 block of Vermillion Street. An officer observed a man on the ground with abrasions on his head and a bloody nose.

The man indicated he was kicked by somebody. He didn’t know who had hit him.

The incident occurred at about 1:05 a.m.

One witness said they saw a large group of individuals start a fight at the parking lot.

The case is still under investigation.

• A man called officers and asked to be transported to detox because of his ongoing problems with chemical dependency.

He was picked up and transported. The call came in at 11:52 p.m.

• A man was taken to detox after repeatedly dialing 911 and hanging up.

The man indicated he had dialed 911 mistakenly but the behavior persisted so he was transported.
