Tennis season concludes

The Hastings representatives at the individual section tennis tournament were eliminated from play.

At singles, Katie Suchmova won her opening round match over a Faribault opponent, 6-1, 6-0. In the second round, she lost to a Mayo player and was eliminated.

Maddie Carlson lost her singles match in the opening round.

In doubles, Morgan Tjomsland and Hailey Lundquist won over New Prague in the opening round, 6-0, 6-1. In the second round they lost to a team from Owatonna, 7-6, 3-6, 6-3.

The team of Jill Weinzettel and Annika Peterson won in their first-round match over a team from New Prague, 6-1, 6-4.

They lost in the second round to a team from Mayo.
