• Fake Wisconsin IDs were attempted to be used at a bar in the 3400 block of Vermillion Street over the weekend.
The fake IDs included the real names and photos of the people using them, and investigators are following up.
• A Hastings grandparent was scammed out of $1,900 by a caller reporting there had been a rental car accident out-of-state.
Officers are investigating.
• Officers were asked to check the welfare of a man at 6:02 p.m. Oct. 2, and they ended up transporting the man to the hospital and then to detox.
He had a blood-alcohol-concentration of .41.
