It’s apple season at CNC

The Carpenter Nature Center Apple Fest will be on Saturday, Oct.13 and Sunday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free.

Autumn in the St. Croix Valley is a season full of crisp, juicy apples, rotund pumpkins, brilliant fall leaves and fresh air. Those who are young, or young at heart, will enjoy hay wagon rides, pumpkin decorating, education programs and live music. The Hastings Lions Club will be grilling apple brats. There will also be pick-your-own apples, caramel apples and the bake sale table.

The Apple Fest “Ride for CNC” motorcycle benefit has been canceled due to family emergencies.

Carpenter Nature Center’s Apple Shack will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until they are sold out of apples, or Thanksgiving, whichever comes first.
