Letter: Why are people in such a hurry?

To the editor,

I am curious as to where everyone is going in such a hurry.

I travel County Road 46/47 daily and go by Pleasant and General Sieben almost daily and I can’t tell you how nervous it makes me. So many drivers pull out of those two roads with reckless abandon and without regard to the safety of others.

There have been numerous accidents in this area already and one of these days we will be reading about a very serious accident there. I know you can’t just change the speed limit on the road without MnDOT and others getting involved, but it should be looked at. I am not sure why the speed limit needs to be 55 before you get out of the city limits with these two very busy intersections.

Drivers could help by being more careful and to take all drivers into consideration instead of being so reckless.
