Soccer season ends for Raider boys with 8-0 loss

The Hastings boys soccer team had its season ended by the Eastview Lightning on Tuesday night.
Eastview won the Section 3AA?quarterfinal game, 8-0.
They scored five goals in the first half, then added three more in the second half to win.
Vs. New Richmond
Hastings beat New Richmond on Saturday in a non-conference game, 2-1.
Hastings fell behind early in the second half, but tied the score 1-1 on a goal by Scott Matecki. He was assisted by Alex Lewanski.
Lewanski then scored the game-winner, assisted by Tristan Nelson.
Ian Johnson earned the win in goal for Hastings.
“It was a nice win,” coach Shane Lanning said. “They had a nice little potluck afterward, and it was a little bit more positive.
“It was a complete game for us. Everybody was playing together for a common goal, and the end result was a good one.”
On Thursday, Hastings lost to Forest Lake in the Suburban East Conference finale, 3-0.
Hastings finishes the season with a 3-13 overall record.
