Single Moms Night of Honor

All single moms welcome to join us for an evening of fellowship, food and worship on Friday, Nov. 9, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Hastings United Methodist Church, 615 West 15th St. The guest speaker is Jennifer Barnes Maggio. Jennifer is the author of “Overwhelmed: The Life of a Single Mom.” She will be sharing her personal journey through homelessness, abuse and multiple teen pregnancies. At 19, Maggio found herself pregnant for the fourth time, living in government housing on food stamps and welfare. She ultimately became an 11-time Circle of Excellence winner in Corporate America. Her own story fuels her passion to see single moms connected in fellowship and living a life of total freedom.
