Mary Staiger, 80

Mary Ellen Staiger, age 80, of Hastings, died Monday, Oct. 9, at the United Hospital.

Mary was born May 20, 1932, in Hastings, to Victor and Agnes (Kordosky) Johnson. She was a 1950 graduate of Hastings High School and married Lloyd Staiger on Nov. 18, 1950. Mary had worked in the office at Regina Hospital in Hastings.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Al Johnson, and his wife, Pat.

Mary is survived by her husband, Lloyd; children, Julie (Mike) Kelly, Dale (Jaci); grandchildren, Scott (Kelly) Kelly, Mitch Staiger, Kristi Kelly; brothers, Swede (Dot) Johnson, Whitey (Mary Ellen) Johnson, David (Rita) Johnson.

The memorial Mass, officiated by Fr. Cole Kracke, will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hastings. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at church.
