After leaving 100 feet of rubber on roadway, driver asks officer: 'Haven't you always wanted to do the same thing?'

A Hastings officer was filling his vehicle with gas near Pine Street and County Road 46 when he heard a loud screeching noise. The officer looked up and saw a driver squealing his tires right in front of the gas pumps.
The driver left about 100 feet of rubber on the road. The driver had just purchased a 1967 Chevelle and asked the officer “Haven’t you always wanted to do the same thing?”
The driver was cited for reckless driving.
