Police report preview - Sept. 22 to Sept. 28

Here is a preview of this week's police report. The entire report can be found on Page 4A of this week's print edition.

• Political signs were stolen from a lawn in the 300 block of Whispering Lane. They were signs about the upcoming marriage amendment on the ballot. They were vote “Yes” signs.

• A person was reportedly camping on ConAgra’s property. The man was having a bonfire on the property. Officers found the man sleeping under a tarp.

• A shopper arrived at a liquor store in the 200 block of 33rd Street at 8:50 p.m. and wanted to buy alcohol. The store refused to sell to the man. People then saw the man drive away in a work vehicle. Officers initiated a traffic stop and confirmed the man was intoxicated.

He had a blood-alcohol-content of .28 and was arrested for DWI.
