Ghost story writer at the LeDuc
Friends of LeDuc of Historic Hastings will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Estate, 1629 Vermillion Street, Hastings. Following a brief business meeting Christopher Sterling Larsen will discuss his award-winning books that deal with science fiction, fantasy, and ghosts. C.S. Larsen was born Feb. 2, 1966 in Plymouth.
Friends of LeDuc of Historic Hastings will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Estate, 1629 Vermillion Street, Hastings. Following a brief business meeting Christopher Sterling Larsen will discuss his award-winning books that deal with science fiction, fantasy, and ghosts. C.S. Larsen was born Feb. 2, 1966 in Plymouth. His family moved to Farmington, where he graduated from high school in 1984. After receiving a double major in computer science and electronics engineering at Mankato State University, he settled in Rochester where he currently lives with his wife, Nancy, and two sons, Zach and Alex. In the late 1990s, C.S. Larsen published several technical books and articles for IBM. In 2006 he published "The Magic Krystal" and "The Secret of Banderville." The following year, "The Chronicles of Marvin Archibald Trekker: Boy Magician" came out, winning the American Texas Writers Guild Award. He published numerous short stories in the mid-2000’s, winning several awards.
In 2008, "Ghosts of Southeastern Minnesota" was published. In 2008, his story, "Adam of Argotha," came out in an anthology, "Beacons of Tomorrow." In the fall of 2009, "Crust and Spray" came out. In September, 2010 "Strange Minnesota Monsters" was published and in August, 2011, "Haunted Mantorville" came out. His latest, "Gross Expressions All Pooped Out" appeared in Lerner Publishing/Scholastic.
