Bridge reopens to traffic
The Hastings bridge has been reopened to traffic, having been closed all weekend while bridge construction crews lifted the main span of the new bridge into place.

The Highway 61 bridge in Hastings was closed over the weekend while crews moved the main span of the new bridge into place and lifted it up to the new piers. Traffic is once again flowing across the existing bridge as work continues on the new bridge.

The bridge reopened at about 11:50 a.m. this morning.
