Two men, Regis Deshawn Edwards, 19, Red Wing, and Nathan James Lorusso, 19, Welch, have been charged with one count of receiving stolen property ($1,000 to $5,000) after stolen items were found in their vehicle and trunk.

Two men, Regis Deshawn Edwards, 19, Red Wing, and Nathan James Lorusso, 19, Welch, have been charged with one count of receiving stolen property ($1,000 to $5,000) after stolen items were found in their vehicle and trunk.

Hastings Police followed a vehicle to a residence on Ashland Street Sept. 6. The vehicle had expired registration and the brake light was out. Edwards was identified as the driver and Lorusso was in the passenger seat. Both appeared nervous. The officer observed a large item under a blanket in the back seat. Both said the television belonged to each other. Other items, including another television and three laptop computers, were found in the trunk.

In a statement to police, Edwards said he had bought the items from a man named “Rodriguez” in Red Wing for $175.

Officers contacted the Red Wing Police Department and learned a robbery occurred Sept. 2. The missing property matched everything in the vehicle.
