Here is this week's police report preview. The entire report can be found on Page 4A of this week's print edition.
• A fake political campaign sign was stolen from a yard in the 300 block of Second Street on Tuesday, Sept. 4. The sign read: “Judge Judy for President 2012.”
The sign was stolen between 7 a.m. and 6:15 p.m.
• A theft from a mailbox was reported in the 900 block of 14th Street on Sunday, Sept. 2. Two 10-year-old suspects were caught at the scene by a witness.
A witness saw the two looking into cars and mailboxes and apprehended them.
When asked what they were doing in the area, one replied: “Stealing things.”
Parents were called and said they would handle the discipline. The suspects apologized.
• A domestic disturbance between a man and his adult son was reported at 12:43 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 3.
When officers arrived, a man was observed laying in the street on Whispering Lane and another party was yelling at him. The man said he was trying to kick his son out of his house.
The son went inside, poured himself a drink out of a bottle of whiskey and started swearing at his father.
The son damaged a vehicle in the process.
He moved out. Nobody was arrested.
