A Hastings organization, Defending the Blue Line, is in the running for a $250,000 grant from Chase Community Giving.
Chase asked its customers and employees to nominate their favorite charities to participate in the program. Now the program has moved into the voting round, during which the public can vote for the charities. The top 196 charities by votes will share in about $5 million in grants.
Voting ends Sept. 19 and can be done online through Facebook. To go directly to DTBL’s voting page, click here.
Voters can vote twice, but each vote must be cast for a different charity. Bonus votes can be earned by allowing access to the Chase Community Giving app, posting any content from the page, and having one of your Facebook friends click on the link you have posted.
Chase customers can vote again via the online site they access their accounts. This gives a Chase customer the chance to vote for DTBL up to three times.
