Miesville Lions chili cook-off and trap shoot

On Sunday, Sept. 23, the Miesville Lions will have a chili cook-off and trap shoot at the Miesville Lions Park (next to Jack Ruhr Field in Miesville. The chili/dessert cook-off starts at 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. enter your best chili or dessert recipe. There will be awards for the best recipe and the best name (chili only). Awards will be determined by the people’s choices. Entry fee is $5 per chili and/or dessert entry or $5 per person to judge/eat. Pre-registration for chili/dessert entries preferred; 651-437-1585 or 651-437-7097. Merchandise trap shoot is at 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Test your skills; shoot against your friends or the field. Entry fees and prizes to be announced.
