Come to Carpenter Nature Center on Sunday Sept. 16, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for an afternoon of geocaching fun.

CNC will start with a presentation covering the basics of GPS units and explain the world of geocaching. Then attendees will get a chance to practice their skills while searching for some geocaches on the nature center grounds. Bring your GPS if you have one. Space is limited so call ahead. With the help of the St. Croix Valley Foundation, Carpenter Nature Center will be offering monthly outdoor activities for individuals and families.

Future activities will include snowshoeing, kick sledding, maple syruping and many others. Participants will be encouraged to increase their fitness level, make healthy eating choices, and attend as many of the monthly programs as possible. Special awards will be handed out next May during CNC’s 2K Fun Run/Walk. Please call the Nature Center at 651-437-4359 to sign up or for more information. The program fee is $6 per person or $4 for children under 10 and “Friends of CNC” or $20 per family.
