The Holiday Stationstore at The Point just north of Hastings on Highway 61 was burglarized earlier this month.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case and so far they haven’t made any arrests.

Details and information has been slow to come out, but at approximately 10:54 p.m. on Aug. 12, a burglary alarm was tripped at the store.

The unknown suspect was in and out of the convenience store in a matter of minutes. The suspect had fled the area before deputies from Washington County arrived on the scene.

A cleaning crew was busy working at the adjacent Point restaurant, but they didn’t see or hear the suspect.

Deputies have photos from the scene and video surveillance as well. They are reviewing that evidence and have also spoken with a trucker at The Point who told them he saw a car in the vicinity at about the same time as the burglary.

Anyone with more information on the case is asked to send an email to sheriff@co.washington.mn.us or by calling their anonymous TipLine at 651-430-7850.
