Argument leads to assault charges
A 20-year-old Hastings man, Zachary Thomas Reeves, faces charges of assault in the third degree and assault in the fifth degree (causing fear) following an Aug. 16 incident at a Hastings residence.
A 20-year-old Hastings man, Zachary Thomas Reeves, faces charges of assault in the third degree and assault in the fifth degree (causing fear) following an Aug. 16 incident at a Hastings residence.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the residence. When they arrived, a woman told them that she and Reeves were arguing and that Reeves pushed her twice. During one of the pushes, she injured her wrist.
Reeves was located and arrested. He told police that he and the woman argued and she was blocking the door. He pushed her out of the way. During the second push, he said that she hit the corner of the bed and fell on a fan.
