Pavel Jany returns to Jazz in the Vineyard this Sunday
Traditional and innovative jazz with some classic and international music is on the music menu when Pavel Jany makes his second appearance as part of the Jazz in the Vineyard series from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at the Alexis Bailly Vineyard in Hastings.

Jany has a degree in classical music and his solo repertoire includes a large selection of well-known classical pieces, renditions of American jazz standards and a variety of international guitar music.
Jany frequently performs with a duo or trio including a female vocalist, flute, violin, bass or percussion.
He is the founder and leader of bossa nova and Brazilian jazz ensemble Ticket to Brasil, and his list of performances includes local and national events. Music from his albums is frequently heard on Jazz 88 KBEM FM, KFAI Radio and Minnesota Public radio.
The Jazz in the Vineyard series concerts are held Sunday afternoons through the end of August at the Alexis Bailly Vineyard. The annual Jazz in the Vineyard is sponsored by Jazz 88, KBEM 88.5 FM. They will be held rain or shine.
The winery will offer a variety of picnic needs for purchase. All its wines will be available for tasting and purchase.
Gondwana returns to play the finale of the Sunday Jazz in the Vineyard series for 2012 on Sunday, Aug, 26.
The vineyard is located at 18200 Kirby Ave. Take Highway 61 south from Hastings to 170th Street, and turn to the right. Drive two miles and, as the road curves, it becomes Kirby Avenue. The winery is on the left side.
