Beth A. Davies, 92

In loving memory of Beth A. Davies of Denmark Township who was born April 25, 1920, and died Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, in Prescott, Wis.

Beth was born in Buffalo, S.D., to Lynn and Anna (Blum) Norton. She married Vernal Davies on Sept. 11, 1937. Vernal died in 1985.

She is survived by her children Vernelle and Don Cysiewski of Hastings; Judy Friese of Amery, Wis.; Butch and Diane Davies of Hastings; Rita and Joe Niederkorn of Hastings; Sara and Carl Tessmer of Earlham, Iowa; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; brothers Glen Norton of Texas and Lyle and Jackie Norton of Harlan, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernal; infant daughter Barbara; daughter Beverly; daughter-in-law Evonne Davies; son-in-law Ronald Friese; and brothers Ken and Bud.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the United Church of Christ, 7008 Lamar Ave. S., Cottage Grove. Visitation will take place at the church 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Denmark Township. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren.
