Letter: Hastings should be proud of Black Dirt Theater

To the editor,

Hastings should be very excited and proud to have a company the caliber of Black Dirt Theater. I attended the “Sound of Music,” with some reservations. In my mind, community theater can be cheesy and not very well done. That is not so in Hastings.

From the costumes, to the sets, to all the participants, this was a first-class show. One might think that you would have to drive up to the Twin Cities to see this level of performance. I hope the Hastings community will continue to embrace this wonderful company. The hard work that must go into a production of the size is astounding, from concept to performing. High praises are due indeed.
