Benefit tourney in memory of 3-year-old

Friends of Ralph and Jessica Slocum are organizing a benefit golf tournament to help the Cottage Grove family deal with the death of their son Skyler, who was diagnosed with liver cancer at 18 months. He died June 15.

Friends of Ralph and Jessica Slocum are organizing a benefit golf tournament to help the Cottage Grove family deal with the death of their son Skyler, who was diagnosed with liver cancer at 18 months. He died June 15.

Registration for the tournament begins at 11:30 with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, at Afton Alps golf course. Tickets are $75 per golfer or $300 per team. Dinner and silent auction-only is $15. The entry fee includes the greens fee, a cart, contest and dinner.
