Katherine Ann Murphy, 47

Kathy Murphy, age 47, of Prescott, Wis., died Aug. 2 at United Hospital in St Paul.

Kathy was born July 23, 1965, in Hastings, Minn., to Eugene and Margaret (Teuber) Murphy.

She was a former employee of Swanson Plumbing and Smead Manufacturing in Hastings.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Eugene, and infant brother Robert.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret; siblings Mark of Hastings, Mary (Vince) Pommerening of Cottage Grove, Sue (Pat) Kuplic of Farmington, and Jim Murphy of Farmington; three nieces, Cassie and Briana Seelen and Nicole Pommerening; two step-nieces, Anna and Amy Kuplic, and a step-nephew, Josh Kuplic; and many aunts, uncles, and friends.

The funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, with visitation 1 hour prior, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church, 2035 15th St. W., Hastings, MN 55033.
