Exploring the new art frontiers at the LeDuc Estate
Combine paint,fresh air, and creativity for students to make their own masterpieces. Led by talented local artists and LeDuc educators, children ages 10 to 14 years will learn about the important role artists played by documenting life on the frontier.
Combine paint,fresh air, and creativity for students to make their own masterpieces. Led by talented local artists and LeDuc educators, children ages 10 to 14 years will learn about the important role artists played by documenting life on the frontier. Student will sketch, paint, build and fly their very own kites; make and play traditional games and toys enjoyed by 19th century kids; will record exciting memories in their handmade journals and much more. Prior attendance at “Life with the LeDucs” summer camp is not required. The event is held on the grounds of the LeDuc Historic Estate, 1629 Vermillion St., Hastings. Attendees will be provided with costumes of the period when the LeDuc children lived there. The class runs Tuesday through Thursday, Aug. 7-9, 8 a.m.to noon each day. Registration fee is $75 per child.
