The next game on the schedule for Hastings will be Wednesday, Aug. 1.
Hastings has a 15-16 overall record and a 6-6 mark in league play. Miesville won the Classic Cannon Valley League this year with a 10-2 record. Northfield was second with an 8-4 mark and Cannon Falls was third at 7-4.
Hastings lost a close game on Sunday to Miesville, 3-2.
Mark Moriarty was the starting pitcher for Hastings and he threw a gem, going six innings and allowing just one earned run. He gave up eight hits and a walk. He struck out seven.
Moriarty was relieved by Trent Vedders, who took the loss. He threw a third of an inning and gave up two runs.
Deryk Marks pitched the final inning and two-thirds.
At the plate, Hastings was led by Marks and David Goggin, who each had two hits.
Jake Swartout was the only other Hastings player who had a hit on the day.
