Vote ‘No’ rally is set for Hastings on Sunday

A “Hastings Votes No” community kickoff rally is planned to begin here at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 29. The demonstrators will march to City Hall from Levee Park as part of an effort to defeat the proposed marriage amendment on this fall’s ballot.

A “Hastings Votes No” community kickoff rally is planned to begin here at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 29. The demonstrators will march to City Hall from Levee Park as part of an effort to defeat the proposed marriage amendment on this fall’s ballot.

Once the group gets to City Hall at around 5:30 p.m., there will be speakers and campaign information available.

Three area leaders are working with Minnesotans United for All Families to organize the effort.

The group plans to gather at Levee park from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., then plans to march to City Hall. Local organizers are Heidi Peterson, Jesse Dahlquist and Gale Julius.
