River Run is Saturday at YMCA

Start Saturday, July 21, by participating in the Hastings River Run. Co-sponsored by the United Way of Hastings and the Hastings Area YMCA, the event includes an 8K run at 7:30 a.m. and 2K walk/run at 8:30 a.m. Same day registration begins at 6:30 a.m.

As it has for the past four years, all proceeds from the run benefit the United Way of Hastings and the Hastings Area YMCA.

All events begin and end at the YMCA, 85 Pleasant Drive. All pre-registered participants may pick up T-shirts and race numbers after 6:30 a.m. at the registration table. A limited number of T-shirts will be available for race day registrations.

A display clock with the official time will be located at the finish line for the first hour of the race.

The awards presentation will begin at 9:30 a.m. There will be awards presented to the two male and female finishers in each age category for the 8K race and to the overall winners. Awards will be given to all kids who participate in the 2K event.

Entry fees are $15 for the 2K and $25 for the 8K. A family fee in the 2K is $35 (maximum).
