Caryl Holmes

Caryl Holmes passed away very suddenly on July 12.

Caryl was a long-time resident of Hastings, Minn. (she recently moved to WBL), and her swimming pool was a favorite place to be on a hot summer day. She loved her Coca-Cola and a red can was never too far from her reach.

Preceded in death by her son, Jon (Laura); brother Ronnie; sister Susie (Dave) Derr; brother-in-law Ken Olson; sister-in-law Suzette Anderson; and parents, Dorothy and Russell Anderson.

She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Blake and Campbell, and ex-husband, Tom Holmes. Caryl is also survived by her brothers Dick Anderson, Ken Anderson, Bob Anderson, and Greg (Barb) Anderson; sisters Pat Olson, Judy (Jerry) Schoeller, Joyce (Chuck) Heille, and JoAnn Bedell; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. Jim Perkl, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to Mass at church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers are Dick Anderson, Bill Olson, John Olson, Tony Bedell, Andy Bedell, and Bob Anderson.
