‘Mega Jump’ BMX, skateboard show comes to festival

The ooh’s and the awe of the bicycle stunt show and the skateboard tricks are coming to this year’s Rivertown Days festival Friday and Saturday, July 20 and 21.

Six shows of The Factory – Mega Jump BMX Stunts are scheduled in Jaycee Park (along the Mississippi River) – 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday, July 20; and noon, 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21.

Members have performed at a variety of festivals, including the Minnnesota State Fair, the former Lumberjack Days in Stillwater and Maple Grove Days. Outstate shows have included shows in North Dakota, Washington, and marine camps.

The Factory recently introduced its own “Mega Jump.” After more than 10 years of experience with performing in stunt shows, and now running its own training facility, the business is excited to have designed and built its own portable ramp. The Mega Jump is the largest portable jump in the five- state area (7½-foot tall landing), and is also one of the safest portable jumps in the entire country with a soft padded “resi” landing similar to what is used at The Factory’s training facility.

New tricks have been introduced that are almost impossible to even try at other stunt show ramps. The ramp is safer. The stunt shows are perfect for fairs, amusement parks, festivals, and school assemblies.

Not only do their shows feature some of the best professional riders in the world, they also include the kids that its members teach. There is even a 9-year-old member doing 360s on the Mega Jump.

After the shows, all members will autograph free postcards and take photos with kids.
