This year’s event, sponsored by Regina Medical Center, has the same route, a lot of musical entertainment, colorful floats and marching units. There are 100 units in the parade which begins at 10th and Ramsey streets, then proceeds north on Ramsey Street (the wrong way) to Second Street. At Second Street, the units will go west under the bridge to Eddy Street. At Wilson Park, the parade will disband.

Setting the number is deliberate, Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce president Michelle Jacobs said.
“We set the number of units to accept so the parade gets done in a timely manner,” she said. “We have bands, including the Hastings marching band, the alumni band, the Police Corps from St. Paul,” said Jacobs. There is a variety of other units for the parade. The Hastings VFW Color Guard will lead the parade as it has in other years. Additional units include police and fire vehicles.
3M Co. will have its NASCAR vehicle in the parade. At the conclusion, it will be available for viewing at Jaycee Park.
Parade-goers are asked to be courteous of other people’s property and take their trash with them at the parade’s conclusion. The Police Department will post signs along the route.
