NOTICE OF ELECTION FILINGS

City of Vermillion

Notice is hereby given that the general election for the City of Vermillion, Minnesota will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

Open offices are as follows:

Mayor 2 year term- January 1, 2012- December 31, 2014

Council Member 4 year term- January 1, 2012- December 31, 2016

Council Member 4 year term- January 1, 2012- December 31, 2016

Terms expiring are as follows:

Mayor - Brian Mann

Council Member - Bruce Holien

Council Member - Diane Gehrke

Anyone who wishes to become a candidate for, and is eligible to hold any of these offices, may file an affidavit of candidacy with the City Clerk at 437-8163 (City Hall). The filing fee is $2.00.

Filings will be open at 8:00 a.m. on July 31, 2012, and close at 5:00 p.m. on August 14, 2012.

Unless a candidate files an affidavit of candidacy, his/her name will not be placed upon the official ballot for the City election.
