• A young adult male was found resting outside his vehicle on Saturday, June 9. The man admitted to ingesting heroin by injection. He was transported to Regina Medical Center.
Some suspected drugs were found in the vehicle and are being tested. The investigation is continuing. Charges are expected to come from Dakota County.
• At 10:30 p.m. June 11, a 15-year-old male arrived home at his residence along Vista Drive with an injury to his head following an assault. The male was transported by the fire department to Regina Medical Center. He was later cited for minor consumption of alcohol.
Officers are investigating to determine who provided the alcohol.
• Officers were called to a hotel in the 2400 block of Vermillion Street June 12 on the report of a war veteran who had recently returned home and was struggling with alcohol and family issues.
He was transported by an officer to the Veterans hospital.
• A property owner in the 200 block of Sibley Street said someone took a garden hose and put it into a window well. They turned the water on and fled, causing water damage.
Officers made contact with a person of interest, but there wasn’t enough evidence to warrant an arrest.
