Allgor named to MSU Moorhead dean’s list

Rachel Allgor of Hastings has been named to the Minnesota State University Moorhead dean’s list. Allgor graduated from Hastings High School in 2009. She majored in speech, language and hearing science.

Ellen Ries recieves scholarship

Ellen Ries, a senior at Hastings High School, has been named 2012 recipient of the annual Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program. Ries will be recognized at a reception on June 19 at the Saint Paul Hotel. She will attend Iowa State to study law.

Gustavus Adolphus announces spring dean’s list

Eric Best and Alicia Ryman of Hastings were named on Gustavus Adolphus 2012 spring dean’s list.

Gustavus Adolphus announces graduates list

Hastings students who graduated from Gustavus Adolphus in the spring of 2012 were: Kailey Christenson, who majored in biology; Andrea Eglinton, who majored in geology, and graduated cum laude; and Jennifer Fox, who majored in political science.

Iowa State University announces graduates list

Two students from Hastings graduated in the spring of 2012. Lindsey Ann Moore graduated with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in apparel merchandising, design and production; Carolyn Crista Ries graduated with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in genetics (LAS).

Hastings students honored for academic achievement at St. Olaf College

The following students, were among the nearly 900 St. Olaf College students who were recognized for academic achievement at the college’s annual Honors Day convocation on May 4: Severin Bialke, a physics and mathematics major and a graduate of Hastings High School. Severin is the son of Larry and Melody Bialke. Kristi Gangelhoff, a chemistry major and a graduate of Hastings High School. Kristi is the daughter of Michael Gangelhoff. Jessica Moes, an English major and a graduate of Hastings High School. Jessica is the daughter of John Moes and Jill Moes. Tamara Roque, a biology major and a graduate of Hastings High School. Tamara is the daughter of Hugo Roque and Arlene Etzig.

University of North Dakota announces dean’s list

Students from Hastings on the University of North Dakota spring 2012 dean’s list are: McKensie Hollar, Tyler Johnston and Michelle Willis.

Johnston was named on the president’s list.

Anderson graduates from University of Wisconsin-Stout

Morgan Anderson of Hastings graduated from University of Wisconsin-Stout with a B.A. in psychology.

Vermilion Community College announces spring graduate list

Students from Hastings who graduated from Vermilion Community College are: Derek Kampa, AS, fisheries and wildlife management; Craig Reller; AS, wilderness management; Brady Warner, honors graduate, CERT, seasonal park law enforcement ranger.
