Season concludes for Raiders track and field

The seasons are over for the Hastings track and field teams. Hastings wasn’t able to qualify any athletes to compete at this weekend’s state meet, meaning the end of the road for both the boys and the girls.

The seasons are over for the Hastings track and field teams. Hastings wasn’t able to qualify any athletes to compete at this weekend’s state meet, meaning the end of the road for both the boys and the girls.

Section boys results

The Hastings boys placed 11th out of 16 teams at the section meet with 24 points. Apple Valley won the meet with 117.5 points, and Eastview was second with 89.

Results from the boys meet went like this:

100 – John McQuade, 37th, 12.91; Jake Anderson, 38th, 12.92.

200 – Dustin Kimmes, seventh, 23.25.

The Hastings girls team wasn’t able to score any points at the section meet last week at the University of St. Thomas.

Prior Lake won the meet with 152 points and Eagan was second with 79.

Conference meet

Both Hastings teams competed at the very competitive Suburban East Conference meet recently at East Ridge.

The girls placed 10th out of 10 teams with 10 points. Stillwater won the meet and Mounds View was second.

The boys were 10th out of 10 teams with 36 points. Forest Lake won the meet and Roseville was second.
