ORDINANCE NO. 2012-09 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HASTINGS, MINNESOTA AMENDING SECTION III, CHAPTER 110, SECTION 110.09 OF THE HASTINGS CITY CODE PERTAINING TO:

BILLIARDS, POOL, AND BOWLING

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Hastings as follows:

Chapter 110, Section 110.09, Billiards, Pool, and Bowling of the Hastings City Code are hereby modified as follows:

§ 110.09 BILLIARDS, POOL, AND BOWLING.

(A) License required. It is unlawful for any person to keep or maintain any pool, billiard, snooker, or other game table, or any bowling alley (bowling lane), available for public use without first having obtained a license from the city.

(B) License fees. The annual fee for each pool, billiard, snooker, or other game table bowling alley (lane) all be established by ordinance.

(C) Practices prohibited. It is unlawful for any:

(1) Pool, billiard, snooker, or other game table licensee to be open between 1:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. of any secular day, or between 1:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on any Sunday, and permit use of the licensed facilities;

(2) Minor to play pool, billiards, snooker, or other the table game where 3.2% malt liquor or intoxicating liquor is sold or consumed, unless accompanied by his or her parent or guardian; and/or

(3) Licensee to cause or permit any minor to play pool, billiards, snooker, or other similar table game where intoxicating malt liquor or intoxicating liquor is sold or consumed unless the minor is accompanied by his or her parent or guardian.

(D) Term. All bowling alley (lane) pool, billiard, snooker, or other game table licenses shall be for the period of one (1) year and shall expire on June 30 of each year, regardless of when the license was originally issued. Thereafter, all licenses eligible for renewal, will be renewed for one (1) year. (Prior Code, § 5.31) (Am. Ord. 2009-05, 3rd Series, passed 4-20-2009) Penalty, see § 10.99

ALL OTHER SECTIONS SHALL REMAIN UNCHANGED
