Washington, D.C., trip set for eighth graders
Registration is now open for the 15th annual Washington D.C. trip for next years’ eighth graders at Hastings Middle School. This “once in a lifetime” trip for many students is an exclamation mark at the end of their middle school careers.
Registration is now open for the 15th annual Washington D.C. trip for next years’ eighth graders at Hastings Middle School. This “once in a lifetime” trip for many students is an exclamation mark at the end of their middle school careers.
Students will have a chance to listen and ask questions in the shadow and halls of various monuments and museums of Washington D.C. It’s a fun, fast-paced, purpose filled, and educationally loaded experience, traveling with friends and family, where Americas’ past, present and future come together. The students will travel May 2 to May 5, 2013, and the price of the trip includes all costs including meals. Parents are welcome as well, but space is reserved for students first. For those who sign up before June 1, the price is the same as the 2012 trip minus 5 percent. Registration will continue after June 1 until the trip is full at 105 participants.
Fundraising for the trip will take place this summer and in the fall. Registration forms are available now from seventh grade Social Studies teachers.
