Hastings girls golfers just three meets away from section tournament

A busy stretch of action for the Hastings girls golf team included a couple of good results for the blue and gold.
The youthful Raiders placed in the middle of the pack at a couple big meets, and the team now has just three conference meets remaining before the big section tournament, which begins May 30 at Phalen.
Hastings beat South St. Paul in a dual meet Wednesday, May 9. Hastings shot a 192 and South St. Paul had a 215.
Izzy Karbo led Hastings with a 44. Sadie Karbo had a 48, Haley Jo Kimmen had a 49 and Clare Baldwin shot a 51 to round out the scoring. Also playing varsity were Erin Moes (55) and Maddie Bauer (60).
Hastings’ next match was the following day, May 10, at Prestwick. East Ridge played host to the Suburban East Conference meet, and Hastings had a 190.
Sadie Karbo, Izzy Karbo and Bauer each had 46s. Clare Baldwin had a 49. Caitlyn Judge shot a 51 and Kimmen had a 60.
On Saturday, Hastings played in the Rosemount Irish Invitational, an 18-hole match at Emerald Greens.
Hastings placed seventh out of nine teams with their best 18-hole score of the season, 363.
Sadie Karbo shot a 39 on the front nine and a 46 on the back for an 85.Izzy Karbo had an 86, Judge had a 92 and Baldwin had a 100. Bauer shot a 101 and Kimmen had a 104.
Finally, on Monday, Hastings played host to the mid-year 18-hole SEC match at the Hastings Country Club.
Hastings placed fifth out of the 10 teams with a 372.
Sadie Karbo had a 90, as did Izzy Karbo. Kimmen had a 92 and Bauer had a 100. Baldwin and Judge also competed for Hastings.
