Benning leads Raiders at true team track meet

The Hastings track teams competed Thursday at the Section 2AAA true team meet in Stillwater.
The boys placed sixth out of eight teams. Hastings had 472 points. Stillwater won the meet with 851 and Woodbury was second with 699.
The girls took sixth out of seven teams. The Raiders had 401 points. Stillwater won the meet with 717 and East Ridge took second with 669.
Girls
The top Hastings finishes were a pair of third places, one by Nicole Hollar in the high jump and one by Hanah Martin in the discus.

Boys
The boys were led by Zack Benning and Wes Evansen, who each won an event.
Benning won the 1,600 and placed second in the 3,200.
Evansen won the pole vault. Hastings had three of the top five pole vaulters at the event, with Tim Zappa placing fourth and Danny Gove taking fifth.
