A 9-3 loss to White Bear Lake on Monday has left the Hastings Raiders baseball team with a 2-14 record on the season.
Hastings held a 2-0 lead going into the fourth inning, but the Bears exploded for nine runs in the inning to take the lead for good.
Hastings finished the game with four errors.
At the plate, Hastings was led by Anders Hillstrom and Josh Monjeau, who each had two hits and one RBI. Joe Shingledecker had one hit and two runs scored.
Sam Schoeberl had one hit, a run and an RBI.
Aaron Stoneberg and Nate Flynn also had hits.
Andrew Bussey took the loss on the mound. He was relieved by Joe Stark.
There are only three games left on the schedule for Hastings, including one that was played Wednesday against Stillwater. Results of that game were not available at press time.
On Friday, Hastings plays host to Mounds View and on Monday, Hastings plays host to Red Wing. Both games are at 7 p.m.
Cretin-Derham Hall is leading the Suburban East Conference thus far with a 13-3 record. Mounds View is second with an 11-5 mark and Stillwater is third at 10-6.
Hastings lost to Park on Friday, May 11, 3-2.
Park had a 3-0 lead going into the bottom of the seventh, and Hastings added two runs, but it wasn’t enough to send the game into extra innings.
Koch, Hillstrom, Stoneberg, Jared Powell and Eric McCarthy each had hits for Hastings. Powell’s hit drove in two runs.
Stoneberg pitched for Hastings. He threw all seven innings and gave up just one earned run. Hastings had three errors in the game.
Hastings lost to Woodbury on May 9, 2-0.
