Editorial: Theft from charred home is a new low
As if things weren’t bad enough already for Nolan and Jean Appert! Two weeks ago, their house was destroyed by fire on 17th Street.
As if things weren’t bad enough already for Nolan and Jean Appert! Two weeks ago, their house was destroyed by fire on 17th Street.
Then, last week, someone went through their garage and stole a battery.
Stealing someone else’s property is bad enough, but victimizing someone who has just lost everything is a new low.
The Apperts, meanwhile, continue thanking the community for their support as they figure out their next step.

Meanwhile, we sure hope the battery thief is having trouble sleeping at night.
