Hastings lacrosse girls seek first win

The first Hastings girls lacrosse season continues this spring with a number of tough games for the Raiders. Hastings is still seeking its first win, but that has been hard to come by as the team is facing off against other teams with much more varsity experience.

The first Hastings girls lacrosse season continues this spring with a number of tough games for the Raiders. Hastings is still seeking its first win, but that has been hard to come by as the team is facing off against other teams with much more varsity experience.

On Wednesday, April 25, Hastings played Forest Lake and lost, 19-4. Goals were scored by Hannah Moldenhauer, Sarah Peterson (2) and Rachel Reamer.

The junior varsity team lost a close one to Forest Lake, 8-7. Goals were scored by Fallon Cassidy, Alison Kromer, Grace Daggett, Gabbie Riveness, Casey Webber and Mikaela Leifeld (2).

On Monday, April 30, Hastings lost to Cretin-Derham Hall, 22-1. The Hastings goal was scored by Brooke Francis.

The junior varsity team fell to C-DH, 16-3. Goals were scored by Alison Kromer, Grace Daggett and Leifeld.

The busy stretch continued with a May 1 match against Rochester. The varsity lost, 22-3, with Peterson and Aunnie Putz scoring the goals.

The junior varsity lost to Rochester, 5-2. Casey Webber scored both goals for Hastings.

On Wednesday, May 2, Hastings lost to Mounds View, 19-4.

Goals were scored by Emma Koethe, Francis and Leifeld (2).

The junior varsity team tied the Mustangs, 7-7.

Daggett led the way with three goals. Leifeld had two, while Webber and Riveness each added one.
