Letter: Riverside Company’s sportsmanship was memorable
I would like to say how proud I am of the Riverside Company show choir. I’m proud that they took first in Best Male Vocal, first for their theme of their performance and, of course, third place overall in Chicago.
To the editor,
I would like to say how proud I am of the Riverside Company show choir. I’m proud that they took first in Best Male Vocal, first for their theme of their performance and, of course, third place overall in Chicago.
I’m especially proud of the group’s sportsmanship.
Our granddaughter is a member of this group and I was able to make the trip on my own being the bus was full. What I would like to say is: What great sportsmanship they had. I had a second row seat in the middle section for the presentation of the trophies.
A lot of the Hastings Riverside members were to my right. As every award was announced and that group came down off the stage setting to get the trophy, the Hastings group stood up and applauded every time. I did not see any other school do this. Of course, like I said, I was in the second row. However, I did look around now and then when the school’s names were announced.
