St. John's students win essay contest

The National Center for Fathering recently announced three students from St. John the Baptist-Vermillion elementary school as winners of the What My Father Means to Me essay contest.

The National Center for Fathering recently announced three students from St. John the Baptist-Vermillion elementary school as winners of the What My Father Means to Me essay contest.  From the pool of 4,128 student essays submitted, Lukas Hanson’s essay won first place in the third grade level, Evan Kaiser’s essay took first place in the first grade level and Stephen Reinardy’s essay was chosen as a runner-up winner in the second grade level.  Student  essays nominate fathers or a father figure in the student’s life for the 2012 Minnesota Twins Father of the Year contest. Grade-level essay winners will be recognized at a celebration event in June and attend a Minnesota Twins baseball game.
