• An intoxicated male was reported at 3:12 p.m. at a restaurant in the 2200 block of Vermillion Street. A middle-aged male was found within the restaurant. He was sleeping at the time. When officers woke the man, he couldn’t communicate clearly and was taken to Ramsey County detox.
• A resident called to report a neighbor was allowing a dog to run loose and defecate in other people’s lawns. The matter is in the 2300 block of Rushmore Road.
• A driving complaint was called into Hastings police at 11:49 p.m. The caller said a Chevy Blazer had driven through a stoplight near the M&H gas station at 15th and Vermillion streets.
An officer responded to the area and found the vehicle as it was pulling out of the station. Soon thereafter, the driver of the vehicle stopped his vehicle, got out and started walking away. The officer yelled for the man to stop, but he didn’t. The man ran and a perimeter was set up in the area.
The man could not be located. Officers found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and confiscated some beer and some marijuana. They contacted the vehicle’s registered own, who denied knowing who had been driving the vehicle. He said the beer and the marijuana were not his.
