Engagement Cassandra Jean Carlson and Paul Bjorkstrand

Joe and Rita Carlson of Hastings announce the engagement of their daughter, Cassandra Jean, to Paul Bjorkstrand, son of Perry and Beth Bjorkstrand of Burnsville.

Cassie is a 2003 graduate of Hastings High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of St Thomas in St. Paul. She is currently completing a master’s degree in elementary education at Augsburg College in Minneapolis.

Paul is a 2005 graduate of Burnsville High School and a 2010 graduate of Augsburg College where he was a member of the Augsburg wrestling team, a three-time Academic All American, a member of the 2007 and 2010 National championship teams and a second-place individual finisher at the 2010 National Championships. Paul is employed at Wyde Corporation in Eagan as a software developer.

A July 14, 2012 wedding is planned at St Phillips Lutheran Church in Hastings.
