Raiders lose three close matches

The Hastings tennis team has a 1-3 record so far this season after its first week of play.
All the losses have been close.
On Wednesday, Hastings lost to Red Wing, 4-3, and on Thursday the Raiders lost to Woodbury, 4-3. HHS then played at a tournament in Alexandria over the weekend.
Alexandria tournament
Hastings beat Alexandria, 5-2, on Saturday.
Ben Carlson won at first singles, 6-1, 6-1.
At second singles, Jalen Sneddeker won, 6-0, 6-4. Steven Roach fell at third singles and Alex Zuzek fell at the fourth spot.
In doubles, Tyler Mellick and Ben Klimek teamed up to win at the top spot, 7-6, 7-5.
Craig Nielsen and Austin Houska won at second doubles, 6-1,6-2. Lenny Weiss and Drey LaCroix won at third doubles, 6-3, 6-7, (10-7).
Hastings lost to Becker in the tournament, 5-2. Wins were recorded by Carlson, 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 and by the No. 2 doubles team of Nielsen and Houska. They won, 6-1, 6-4.
Vs Red Wing
In the 4-3 loss to Red Wing, wins were earned by Carlson at first singles (7-5, 6-4) and by the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles teams. At first doubles, Mellick and Cody Arndtson won, 6-0, 6-2.
At second doubles, Klimek and Roach won 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4).
Vs Woodbury
Hastings lost its opening conference match of the season to the Royals of Woodbury, 4-3.
Carlson won again, 6-2, 6-2.
Zach Mellick won at fourth singles, 6-2, 6-4.
The third win was earned by Nielsen and Zuzek at third doubles, 6-4, 6-1.
