Police report preview - April 9 to April 15

Here is a preview of this week's police report. The entire report can be found on Page 4A of this week's print edition.

• A distraught and intoxicated female was reportedly yelling at vehicles as they passed by her at 7:23 a.m. in the 1500 block of 15th Street on April 11.

She had been locked out of her residence by her friends.

She was transported to her parent’s home, where she was left in their care.

• Officers responded on the report of a drunk driver in the drive-thru at McDonalds at 2:19 a.m. on April 9. The vehicle was located a short time later. Officers made contact with the man who was driving, who then failed field sobriety tests and was arrested.

• A threatening note was found in a men’s bathroom at Hastings High School on April 11. The note indicated that the person who wrote it hated his life, disliked several people at the school and had dreams about bringing a gun to school and about killing himself.

He was located and interviewed. The student was ultimately arrested and taken to the juvenile detention center. The call came in at 10:35 a.m.
