Police report preview - March 26 to April 1

• Police responded to the report of an unruly male in the 1200 block of 18th Street at 8:18 p.m. March 27 When officers arrived on the scene, they received information that a man had done some damage to a wall by banging his head on it. The man broke a hole into the wall and was combative with officers.

He was cited for misdemeanor damage to property and disorderly conduct.

• A female shoplifter was caught at Coborn’s Superstore April 1. Officers identified the alleged thief and learned she had a felony warrant out for her arrest from Washington County.

The woman had taken $9.06 worth of vegetable dip and Hallmark greeting cards.

She was arrested on the warrant and issued a citation for the theft.

• A package of hot dogs was stolen from a business in the 1400 block of Vermillion Street at 11:59 a.m.

A man had entered the store, took the hot dogs and fled. He walked to an address in the 1300 block of Spring Street, where he was located by officers.

The man is out of work and was staying with friends in the area, he told them.

He put together $4.09 and paid for the hot dogs.
